The creative duo behind the camera
Behind The Tasty Cinema: Two Filmmakers, 30 Years, Countless Journeys…
“We are Christian and Eva, a filmmaking duo that has spent many years capturing the beauty of our planet. From deserts to rainforests, from mountain peaks to the ocean depths, we’ve told stories of nature, culture, and life. Today, we turn that same cinematic lens toward food — transforming simple ingredients into visual poetry.”
Christian, Director & Food Visualist:
I’ve spent more than 30 years behind the camera — in documentary cinema, television, and commercials — traveling to some of the most remote corners of the planet. From snowbound mountains to dense rainforests, from endless deserts to colorful coastal villages, I’ve lived close to foreign cultures, listened to their stories in their own languages, learned from indigenous communities whose knowledge is as old as the land itself, and captured moments most people will never witness firsthand. Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to work with extraordinary talents like Kate Winslet, whose artistry pushed my own craft to new heights.
Cooking has been with me just as long. Since my teenage years, the kitchen has been my creative refuge — a place where patience, skill, and curiosity come together much like in filmmaking. My lifelong passion for food, nature, and visual storytelling drives this channel - a cinematic tribute to traditional recipes, crafted with the same precision, depth, and beauty as my most ambitious documentaries.
But THE TASTY CINEMA is not a solo journey. Eva, my wife, has been at my side through years of documentary filmmaking as line producer, and now she shapes the beating heart of this project. She plans, organizes, and keeps our weekly productions on track, ensuring that every film meets the standard our shared vision demands. On set, she is also my second pair of hands — steady, precise, and intuitive in the demanding process of filming food as if it were cinema itself.
Together, we bring a rare mix of artistry and discipline. The recipes we share aren’t just pulled from cookbooks; they’re memories collected over years of travel, shared at tables around the world, passed down like heirlooms. Each film is an immense undertaking — from researching a dish’s history, to sourcing authentic ingredients, to preparing, shooting, and editing with cinematic precision. Every frame is slow, deliberate, and intentional.
And isn’t that the point? To slow down, to see more, to feel more. THE TASTY CINEMA is our way of sharing the poetry of food — not just how it tastes, but how it feels, how it sounds, and how it connects us to the world and to each other.

“The Tasty Cinema is the natural continuation of our filmmaking journey — a new stage where food becomes the landscape, and the kitchen the wilderness. Together, we bring the artistry of documentary filmmaking into every dish.”
“We will always be deeply grateful for the assignments that took us to remote places, where we experienced breathtaking Nature, met remarkable tribes and friends from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and traditions…”
